Hours and Compensation

    6:30 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Compensation
    $50 to $100 for part-day shifts on Election Day. $180 to $240 for full-day workers on Election Day. $50 to $80 training. $180 for student workers.

    Full and part-day shifts are available.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • Requirements
    Poll workers over the age of 18 must either be registered voters in California or be lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. and otherwise eligible to register to vote except for their lack of U.S. citizenship. 

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age Requirements
    16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted for U.S. permanent residence.
  • Training Details
    Yes. You must attend a training session.
  • In-person training typically lasts 3 hours. Training is held in two different locations in Long Pine and Bishop to accommodate workers.
