Hours and Compensation

    $21.90 to $24.43 per hour for Election Day, Early Voting and training.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • Requirements
    Poll workers over the age of 18 must either be registered voters in California or be lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. and otherwise eligible to register to vote except for their lack of U.S. citizenship.

Work Requirements

    16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted for U.S. permanent residence.
  • Training Details
    Yes. You must attend a training session.
  • Two to three full days of training is required.

In addition to Election Day workers, Orange County is looking for Early Voting and post-election workers. Please contact election officials, listed above, for additional information.

Orange County is hiring poll workers for Vote Centers who can commit to either 4, 6  or 13 day work schedules, which includes setting up the Vote Center, and cleaning up the Vote Center. Early Voting workers shifts are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 8:30 PM, depending on the day.

Bilingual individuals who speak English and one of the following languages are encouraged to apply: Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, Farsi (Persian), Gujarati, Hindi, Japanese and Tagalog.
