Hours and Compensation

Some workers earn an hourly wage while others earn a flat rate. Hourly workers earn from $22.65 to $25.22 per hour for Election Day, Vote Center days, and training. Flat rate workers earn $90 per Vote Center Day, $115 for Election Day with an additional $10 for bilingual workers, and $20 for training. - Other Details

Voter Registration Requirements

Poll workers over the age of 18 must either be registered voters in California or be lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. and otherwise eligible to register to vote except for their lack of U.S. citizenship.

16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted for U.S. permanent residence. - Training Details
Yes. You must attend a training session.
Hourly paid workers must attend two to five full days of training, depending on position. Flat-rate paid workers must attend 3.5 hours of training. All training is conducted in-person.
