Hours and Compensation

    $160 to $240 per day for Vote Center work. $250 to $360 for Election Day.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • Requirements
    Poll workers over the age of 18 must either be registered voters in California or be lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. and otherwise eligible to register to vote except for their lack of U.S. citizenship.

Work Requirements

    16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted for U.S. permanent residence.
  • Training Details
    Yes. You must attend a training session.
  • A combination of in-person and online training is required.

In addition to Election Day workers, Sonoma County is looking for Early Voting workers. Early Voting work runs from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please contact election officials, listed above, for additional information.

Individuals who speak English and one of the following languages are encouraged to apply: Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Khmer.

Early Voting work hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Individuals who are comfortable using computers and tablets are strongly encouraged to apply.
